Nora Harvey Artist Presents:
“Light & Shadow”
A Beautiful Black & White Collection
A Captivating Collection of Original Acrylic Paintings.
Welcome to my latest artistic endeavor - a remarkable collection that explores the captivating interplay of black and white in the world of abstract expressionism.
"Light & Shadow" unveils a range of original acrylic paintings, each meticulously crafted to evoke emotion, connection, and a profound sense of movement. My goal was to place an emphasis on balance, proportion, and the repetition of elements, ensuring that each composition tells a story that invites your imagination to roam free.
Evolution has hardwired our eyes and brains to be naturally drawn to movement, whether it's a stark contrast of light against dark or a complimentary textured wave meeting a hard edge. "Light & Shadow" addresses proportion and balance while offering a rich canvas for viewers to explore illusions, expressions, and their own inner world.
My hope is that these paintings resonate with you on a deep, visceral level, stirring your senses and evoking the ever-present connection of life and movement.
With a warm welcome, I would like to invite you to my Solo Art Show Reception
at SHŌ Art, Spirit & Performance on Friday, October 4th 2024 between 7:00pm-11:00pm.

In this captivating collection, I’ve introduced a brand-new series of abstract paintings that explored the theme of dreamlike movement. From vibrant, multi-colored works to striking black-and-white pieces, each artwork invited the viewer to interpret and imagine beyond the canvas.

In my "Consciousness Through Elements" Art Show, I attempted to represent a collective way of living one's life that is influenced and determined by all the surrounding elements...by observing and studying the lower elements one can reach to a higher collective consciousness where love is what it is...ergo finding peace. My paintings reflected on these singular elements...Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space, Void, Consciousness...provoking thoughts and feelings as we observe and connect with them.
Consciousness Through Elements
Earth our home, our consciousness, our balance
Of life allowing elements, in all depths
The air we breathe, the fire that warms
The water that purifies body and soul
Step forward those of found inner peace
Who avoid the void and embrace the space
Be the preacher whose voice rings out
As if to touch the stars in the sky of night
And speak this consciousness of inner peace
The rhythm within nature’s elements
That touches our core, with beauty and strength
The spiritual awakening of our love
