PROJECT: "Glistening Sunrise"

The Original Photograph was in rectangular in shape so I had to stretch the image for the desired square canvas that was requested by my client. On the second photo below you can see how I added the Gesso carefully and conscientiously knowing that the trees will be playing an important role on the composition of this oil painting. I have started the background by applying the different shades of blue and at the end I have painted the trees with the addition of highlights.

This was a very difficult large project (in size of 48"W x 24"H) because I had to use the shades of blue, white and black only .
It was crucial for me to mix the colours to the perfect values as hues and tints that was represented in the original image.
PROJECT: "Finding The Path"

The original picture was taken at Devils Tower National Monument, in Wyoming USA where my Client's son, Bradley was meditating.
To capture all the details in the mountain was excruciating a long process. There are so many areas you could zoom in and enjoy the precision from the forest to the grass and most importantly to the shadows and highlights on the skin tone. This project was fantastic!
This painting was challenging in terms of details and colour. I have learned a great deal of how to mix colours and how to create depth and highlights especially in the grass land area and in the subject's hair.

This was a very special and beautiful project! My client asked me to create a painting of a memory of their heart-warming ceremony of her fiancé's father's funeral. Part of the ceremony was to visit the Niagara Escarpment, where my client and her fiancé grew up, and had the grandchildren release blue balloons. My client and I worked in close relations to capture that very special moment. She has gifted my painting to her fiancé at their wedding where the presence of their beloved was sensed and cherished.
