Windsor Essex Open Studio Tour 2023
I'm thrilled and delighted to invite you to the Windsor Essex Open Studio Tour 2023, which is taking place on the weekend of September 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, 2023. This event is part of the Ontario Culture Days and is open to visitors free of charge. It's a unique opportunity for the public to get a glimpse into the creative processes of our talented local artists and artisans as they open their studios and workspaces to the community.
You can find me at SHŌ Art, Spirit & Performance, located at 628 Monmouth Rd, Windsor, ON N8Y 3J6, during the following hours:

The Annual Windsor Essex Open Studio Tour 2023 is a three-day event that provides a unique opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes world of local artists in their studios and workspaces.
The Open Studio Tour is free for visitors and takes place alongside the Ontario Culture Days events each autumn.
In 2019, the event attracted over 600 visitors to 12 locations, showcasing the work of more than 30 artists. After the Covid pandemic, the studio tour returned in 2022, featuring six studio locations in Windsor and two in Kingsville, highlighting the creations of over 20 local artists.
In 2023, during the Tour weekend, local artists will open their studios, engaging the public and inviting them to observe various artistic processes. The Tour serves as a valuable marketing opportunity for artists working in diverse mediums and fosters an encouraging environment to showcase local talent.
By embarking on our self-guided tours, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the artistic processes involved in creating art and experience the rich diversity of local artists in Windsor Essex.
The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Windsor Essex is thrilled to announce that the Windsor Essex Open Studio Tour is returning on the weekend of September 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, 2023. The Open Studio Tour encompasses a diverse range of art forms, including painting, pottery, textiles, jewelry, printmaking, photography, and woodturning. Our past events have seen remarkable success, with the 2019 edition attracting over 600 visitors to 12 different sites, featuring the impressive works of more than 30 artists.
This year, we are proud to showcase 11 individual artists, 1 group of 7 artists and 3 organizations, providing both a marketing platform for seasoned professionals and a supportive environment to nurture and highlight emerging talents.
By participating in the Open Studio Tour, visitors can experience firsthand the artistic processes involved in creating captivating art. Through self-guided tours, they will have the opportunity to engage with artists, witness their creative techniques, and gain a deeper appreciation for the incredible talent within our community.
The Open Studio Tour is not only a celebration of art but also a collaborative effort, held in conjunction with the Ontario Culture Days events each fall. This creates a wonderful synergy, expanding the reach of our event and bringing together art enthusiasts from all corners of the region.
